• Use of acid based flux or improper use of flux results in degradation of the flux.

• Insufficient deburring of split tubes resulting in increased water velocity and reduced internal pipe diameter.

It is important to mitigate or remove those corrosions and it can be accomplished with sufficient flushing of the finished plumbing after a pressure test has been carried out.

It is necessary to verify that water should not be permitted to stagnate within the pipes, as the defensive forming of the cuprous oxide layer would not occur uniformly on the inside of the pipe wall.
